ERHABOR FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM MEDICAL LABORATORY PRACTITIONERS ON 1441AH RAMADAN

The Registrar/CEO of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), Dr. Tosan Erhabor felicitates with the Muslim Medical Laboratory practitioners and the entire Muslim Ummah on the successful beginning of the 1441AH Ramadan Fast.

The Ramadan Fast is prescribed by Allah for all Muslims to seek His forgiveness, grace, mercy, blessing and mercy. According to him “this year’s Ramadan is unique as it falls within the global fight against COVID-19 pandemic”. As a way of curtailing the spread of this rampaging virus, the Registrar urges Muslims to observe hand and respiratory hygiene, maintain physical and social distancing and comply with all Government advisories on COVID-19.

He also uses this opportunity to appeal to practitioners on the frontline against this pandemic to always wear their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when attending to any sample as he advised them to treat all samples as potentially hazardous while the pandemic lasts.

This appeal he said has become imperative following the report that more than 40 health workers had tested positive to the COVID-19 in the last two weeks.

Erhabor thus wishes all Muslim Muslim Medical Laboratory practitioners a glorious completion of this year’s Ramadan Fast. Ramadan Kareem!
