Top Management Committee of the MLSCN meets in Lagos for a Retreat

The Top Management Committee (TMC) of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), led by Dr. Tosan Erhabor met in Lagos for a retreat between 7th – 9th February, 2022. In attendance were all TMC members who also double as Heads of Department: Dr. Lawrena Okoro (Deputy Registrar, Mentorship, Inspection & Molecular Laboratories), Dr. Godwin Aikpitanyi-Iduitua (Deputy Registrar, Education & Admin), Dr. Donald Ofili (Deputy Registrar, MLSCN Accreditation Service), Mr. Idim Ime (Director Finance & Admin), Mr. Gregory Uchuno (Ag. Director, Practitioners’ Regulation & Discipline) and Dr. Akinwale Akinlabi (Ag. Director, Planning, Research & Statistics/Zonal and State Offices).

The Managing Director/CEO of the Microbits Consulting Firm, Dr. Sam Owokoniran delivered scintillating presentations on the Leadership for Organisational Growth, the Hunter and the Farmers Leadership Paradigm, Assertiveness for Organisational Growth, Negotiating Skills for Leaders, Improving Customer Service Skills & Contemporary Strategy and Stress Management.

The MLSCN Heads of Department (HoDs) made presentations on their departmental achievements in 2021 and strategies for achieving departmental goals in 2022.

MLSCN Education Summit was given prominence during the retreat, MLSCN Revenue Generation also took its pride of place while MLSCN Read Book was on the front burner during the Retreat.

The retreat was rounded up with awards to the MLSCN HoDs/TMC members for their unflinching contribution to the growth and development of Medical Laboratory Science Profession especially in Nigeria and the globe in general and presentation of certificates of attendance to all TMC members/HoD.
